Hi ya'll - I'm Amanda!

Almost 13 years ago I got my first DSLR camera and despite working at the time as a social worker in a residential program, I knew that one day I wanted photography to be my job. So after a few years of learning, I started shooting weddings in 2011. And as they say, the rest is history.

I am so grateful to say that I have been able to work with thousands of people in the last decade and shoot hundreds of weddings but what I love most about that is the relationships I get to have with my clients. Whether its a couple planning their dream wedding and helping they create a day and images that feel authentic to them or working in our modern, luxe natural light studio in Old City Philadelphia for a branding, maternity or boudoir session or shooting on location for a client….its the process of getting to know you and create images that feel like you, not someone else’s idea of who you should be, but the most beautiful, authentic, badass version of yourself that I love.

While Swiger Photography is my business and my full time job, I have some incredible folks that work for me too! My wonderful wife Jordan is the OG assistant and second shooter here but as my business has grown, so has our team! We know have a group of folks that are fun, full of laughter, talented and the kind of people you’ll wanna be friends with when its all over to assist in the photography process. While weddings is a huge part of what we do here, boudoir and empowering babes to be their best, brightest, most authentic selves is also something I am truly passionate about. Over the last 6 years, I have been able to expand our services to include a boudoir studio complete with a size inclusive client wardrobe and all the posing help anyone would ever need! And its for every body! I don’t believe that feeling amazing about who you are is a “once in a lifetime experience.” I think its a never ending journey toward loving ourselves more, showing up for ourselves better and seeing the incredible strength beauty and sexy babe that is inside all of us. And I believe in practicing what we preach so if you follow me on social media, be ready for a whole lot of badassery, babes and me sharing my own story and journey, along with photos of myself too!

 When Jordan and I got married in April of 2014, we did things a little different than most couples...

We went from best friends to married in less than 6 months, which meant we planned our wedding day in 74 days and all on a $1,000 budget.  It was CRAZY.  And while I didn't get the wedding day of my dreams, I learned so much about the wedding industry and I got to marry the person of my dreams and start the rest of the lives together.  So while I love all weddings and love stories, back yard weddings and best friends turned spouses, will always be my favorite!
