Gabby and Brooke - A Philadelphia Gayborhood Proposal
Well, I originally had no plans of blogging any of the photos from yesterday for a bit but as soon as Jordan mouthed the word "ring" to me, I knew that all had changed. Gabby responded to a model call I put out about needing several LGBTQ couples to photograph this past weekend for a little something I am working on and I was so excited to photograph her again! As we started walking with them toward their location, I caught Jordan mouth the word RING to me and all of sudden my brain went into rapid mode trying to figure out how I would signal Brooke that I was ready for her to propose. Somehow it all worked out perfectly because when I asked Brooke to do the most romantic thing I could think of (something I ask all of my couples at the start of their session) she took a step back, reached into her pocket and dropped to one knee. Gabby couldn't believe she was proposing but the look of joy on her face says it all.
We spent the next 3 minutes photographing them around the "gayborhood" section of Philly in some of my favorite locations and they literally couldnt stop smiling. Gabby kept staring at her ring, asking all the questions about how long she had it and who picked it out! Brooke perfectly picked out with the help of few of Gabby's favorite people, a stunning art deco inspired, princess cut engagement ring that was beyond what Gabby had hoped for. It was perfection.
So while I am not sharing why I asked these two to model in the first place just yet, I am THRILLED Brooke decided this would be the perfect time to propose and that my wife is always on it when it comes to making sure I know the details! Brooke and Gabby, I adore the two of you together and am so so excited for you. You so clearly love each other and I know this next season of your life will be a beautiful one as you plan to become wife and wife. Love love love to you two!!!
