Gwen and Matt - A Tyler Arboretum Rainy Feminist Fall Wedding

This wedding day could have been a lot more stressful than it was. Whenever there is rain forecasted on a wedding day, I always arrive a little nervous for how my couple will feel about that but Gwen and Matt didn’t mind a bit. These two so easily get lost in the other that there was nothing that day that would damper their joy. And I LOVE couples like that. Tyler Arboretum is a venue that has been on my list of places I want to shoot for a while now and it did not disappoint! I am so hoping that our couples bring us back there in the future because there are just so many great spots for photos!!! And the venue staff is just incredible! I think that hoenstly made all the difference…everyone was so kind and helpful and sweet, so even with the rain, these two have a gallery full of beautiful, authentic to their day images that they love!

Something else I love about these two was that they really focused on each other and who they are when creating their day. From their first look, to exchanging gifts with each other, to their sweet wedding party, to their meaningful ceremony, to the many toasts at the reception….it all was a celebration of them and who they are and their love for each other. So many guests talked about what giving, kind people they are and how they want to make the world a better place. They also weaved in their feminist values and commitment to equality through out their day and it was so wonderful to be apart of a wedding where the couple was true to themselves and their values! Just wait till you see their cake topper!!!
