Jacq and Sharkey - An LGBTQ Old City Philadelphia Constitution Center Wedding

Never have I worked with a couple who instantly made me feel like I was so important to them like Jacqueline and Selina, or as they are better known to those that love them, Jacq (she/her) and Sharkey (they/them). They originally were a 2020 wedding that was going to be working with one of our associate photographers but in the fallout of 2020, they ended up choosing a date for their Old City Philly Constitution Center wedding that I was available and my gosh am I so glad that things happened that way. They showed up to their engagement session with wine for me and Jacq is that kind of girl that makes you feel like you have known her for forever in 10 minutes. She is literally one of the sweetest, most genuine humans I have ever met and that pairs so well with Sharkey’s radical joy and love. Wait till you scroll to see their first look, Sharkey’s reaction is one of the most joy filled things I have ever witnessed. They are just so in love with Jacq and its apparent that these two really do know what true love looks like. Jacq couldn’t stop beaming the entire day. They also are so clearly and deeply loved by their friends and family. It was such a joy to photograph a huge wedding party that was really their for THEM and who just wanted to celebrate people they love so much. And their parents? Ughh so sweet. There is a shot below of Sharkey’s parents that I just adore that our second shooter Laura snagged during photos.

They got married on a beautiful fall day and I got to work with some truly incredible vendors. Leigh Florist knocked it out of the park….that stair way and Jacq’s bouquet are florals I’ll be thinking about for years to come. Getting ready was at the Renaissance Hotel, venue for the wedding was the Constitution Center and Soli Events handled the day of coordination, keeping everything on time! Suit Shop had Sharkey looking ahhhhmazing (hell yes for inclusive suit shops in Philadelphia!!), Jacq’s gorgeous dress was from BHLDN and Blue Birds Brides had everyone looking perfect! Our team got to take over their video and photos and I have to say their video is my fav that we have done. Tiffany killed it as usual and I’ll be sharing that below too! All in all, it was the BEST day and I am just incredibly grateful to have been able to work with them.

Sharkey and Jacq - thank you for trusting us with your day and for being so incredible. I really don’t know how to put into words how much I feel you gave back to me, both as a person and an artist with your day and as I have said multiple times since, I am even more thrilled to get to call you two friends. Your love is inspiring and you two are truly a gift to those around you. And Jordan and I (and Tiffany lol) love you to pieces!
