Niki and Jen Fall Engagement Shoot at Ridley Creek State Park

There are some locations I will never tire of shooting at and Ridley Creek State Park is certainly one of them!  Niki and Jen choose this location for their engagement shoot and they showed up SO nervous for our session!  I get it though!  Having your photo taken is nerve wracking and a little scary especially as an LGBTQ couple but ten minutes in of showing them back of the camera previews and ooo-ing over how freakin cute they are, had these two relaxed and laughing.  

We explored all over Ridley Creek State Park and one thing I truly loved about their session was something they said to be afterwards.  "You truly captured us. I was telling Jen the other day how nice it was having someone that understands gay love. Oh and who doesn’t confuse our names on a regular or tell us we look like sisters."   I know first hand the struggle to find vendors and photographers who not only accept LGBTQ folks and knowing that as an open lesbian myself I am making my couples feel comfortable and understood and who truly captures them, is the best feeling in the world.  

Niki and Jen....I am so glad you two decided to have Jordan and I be apart of your wedding day. I adore the two of you, I loved spending the evening laughing with you two and I hope that beyond just being clients, you two become friends of ours as well.  Enjoy just some of my favorites from your session and know that I am SO EXCITED for your wedding next year!
